  6. ok  so  I might of got carried away with singing the praises
  7. for daytona in the WORD 3 but it is only MY opinion....
  8.  
  9. so  here  is  a  bit  of a run down on some of the points of
  10. RIDGE RACER and DAYTONA USA....

  13. GEARS N THINGS

  16. RIDGE RACER -- SIX speed manual or automatic and proper
  17.                 pedals (clutch, break and accelertor .
  18.                 sound familiar) . movable seat, for people
  19.                 with bloody long legs .
  20.  
  21. DAYTONA     -- FOUR speed manual or automatic but no clutch
  22.                 just break and accelertor (don't use break
  23.                 much anyway) . movable seat like ridge racer .

  26. GRAPHICS

  29. RIDGE RACER

  31. fast  and  colourful  but when you get close to the sides it
  32. tends  to  go  slighty blocky , also when you go through the
  33. mountain  bit  the  sides  are smooth even through the gfx's
  34. look  like  rough  rock  texture .  nice effect when the sun
  35. sets and the jumbo jet comes in to land ,though.

  37. DAYTONA

  39. faster  than  the  above  and  seems  more colourful (but it
  40. probably  isn't just the way it's drawn and sega should know
  41. how  to  get maximum effect) .  The sides of these mountains
  42. ARE  rough  and don't just look it , when you go through the
  43. tunnel  on  the  2nd  track you can see daylight through the
  44. sides  and  this  is reflected on to your car as you go by .
  45. even  the  pit crew are very detailed , try to find these in
  46. ridge racer

  49. MUSIC N SFX

  54. pick  between SIX different songs at the start of the race a
  55. bloody voice that keeps on saying " THERE'S SOMEBODY ON YOUR
  56. TAIL" oo-er ....it might also say " LAST LAP " ( not sure as
  57. I  haven't  played  it  in  while  not  since  u  know  what
  58. arrived....

  62. no songs to pick , just one tune for each track , these piss
  63. on  ridge racer from a great height , if they were on cd i'd
  64. buy  it  right  away (hint,hint sega) .  it also has quite a
  65. lot  of samples though like " YOUR DOING GREAT " , " TAKE IT
  66. LOW  AT  TURN 3 " AND " TRY TO STAY LOW IN THE TURNS ", just
  67. like  the  pit  crew talking to u through headphones....( it
  68. makes a change to hear long samples don't u think )

  76. nothing really new apart from the one with the 30ft screen ,
  77. same game different screen and a full size sports car to sit
  78. in  (a  mazda mx 5 I think ) but it doesn't move or nowt and
  79. at  a  huge price of 3 quid yes 3 QUID a go u would think it
  80. would ....  (see it at skegness now)

  82.    oh i've heard rumours about ridge racer 2 but no game

  87. 8  player  link  up  , new sounds , different gfx's etc .  2
  88. player side by side , smaller screens , smaller machines and
  89. a cheaper price not the same feel to it though...

  94. Why  don't  namco  leave racing games to the big boys (SEGA)
  95. coz they will beat them every time .....

  99. I  will still only play daytona until something better comes
  100. along like daytona 2 maybe....remember this is my opinion

  103. nothing different from places 2 n 3 though at the end
